Bill Summary:  This measure requires the state board of health, in adopting rules regarding the operation or design of water recreation facilities containing a surf pool, to review and consider the most recent version of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Model Aquatic Health Code and requires the department of health, for water recreation facilities containing a surf pool, to establish design and construction requirements in accordance with the most recent version of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Model Aquatic Health Code. The bill clarifies a wave pool is not the same as a surf pool.
