The bill would also require the State Department of Education, in consultation with the State Department of Public Health, to issue best practices guidelines related to pool safety at K–12 schools.
Status: Passed the Assembly on April 12 and sent to the Senate. On June 13 passed the Senate Health Committee. Hearing held on June 19 in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee; passed committee. Hearing held, placed in suspense August 6. Hearing scheduled for August 16, 2018.
