Summary: The County Council is considering a resolution to adopt Bill 26-12, Swimming Pools – Defibrillators as a Board of Health Regulation, which would require one automated external defibrillator at every public swimming pool with at least one staff person trained in its use. The Council is also considering a resolution to adopt Bill 16-17, Swimming Pools - Lifeguards – Amendments as a Board of Health Regulation that would eliminate lifeguard requirements on weekdays if the pool meets certain criteria listed out.
Status: On December 5, 2017, the County Council will hold a hearing and then consider adoption of both bills.
