Issue: Lifeguard requirements at public pools

Rule Summary: On October 3, the City Council introduced a bill establishing when a lifeguard is not required for a swimming pool. It also establishes when shower, toilet and dressing room facilities are not required at certain facilities as well as providing for certain exemptions for pools at condominium and apartment buildings.
Status: On November 28, the Committee on Health will conduct a public hearing to consider the bill.
