Bill Summary: This measure provides an exclusion for
inflatable equipment operated at a temporary event from requirements
of chapter 70.90 RCW (water recreation facilities). Furthermore, this
measure requires the State Board of Health, when adopting rules regarding the
operation or design of a recreational water contact facility, to review and
consider the most recent version of the United States centers for disease
control and prevention's Model Aquatic Health Code.
Status: Unanimously passed Senate on
April 5. Sent to Governor on April 17; he signed it into law on April 21;
effective date July 23, 2017.
