Bill Summary:  This measure amends Chapter 60 of the Texas occupational code to remove regulatory restrictions on occupational licensing. This measure stipulates that lawful occupation may be regulated by the state only if the state agency enforcing the regulation demonstrates that the regulation is:

(a) Necessary to fulfill the purpose and intent of the statute authorizing the occupation ’s regulation.

(b) Not substantially burdensome.
