Issue: Permissive adoption of the 2018 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC)

Summary: The South Carolina Building Codes Council intends to adopt the following building codes as mandatory: the 2018 edition of the International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Fire Code, International Plumbing code, International Mechanical code, International Fuel Gas Code, and the 2017 National Electric Code. 
Permissive codes include the 2018 edition of the International Property Maintenance Code, International Existing Building Code, International Performance Code for Buildings and Facilities, and most important to APSP members is the ISPSC.  Permissive codes allow for optional adoption by each jurisdiction. 
Members are encouraged to send comments or concerns to Regan Ratliff.  APSP will then send a letter addressing the comments by our members to the South Carolina Building Council. 
Status: All written comments and modifications are due February 20, 2019.  Please send comments to Regan Ratliff by February 13th.
