Bill Summary:   This bill pertains to energy savings efficiency. 

Definitions provided in this bill:

“Portable electric spa”, a factory-built electric spa or hot tub which may or may not include any combination of integral controls, water heating or water circulating equipment.

Portable electric spas, as outlined in SB 1986, shall meet the requirements of the American National Standard for Portable Electric Spa Energy Efficiency (ANSI/APSP/ICC-14), as approved on September 12, 2014. 

As outlined in HB 2832, portable electric spas shall meet the requirements of the American National Standard for Portable Electric Spa Energy Efficiency (ANSI/APSP/ICC-14) (no edition is stated).   

APSP is in the process of crafting a letter of support and will send it when a hearing is set.
