Bill Summary: This measure modifies which board has jurisdiction over journeyman electricians.
This measure removes language that requires a licensure as a journeyman electrician to successfully completed apprenticeship training approved by the federal bureau of apprenticeship and training, instead moving that requirement to the state electrical board.
This measure states that the board may expend funds to educate and encourage potential electricians or power limited technicians into the trade.
Status: This measure has been signed by Governor Doug Burgum (R). This measure has been filed with the Secretary of State and go into effect August 1, 2019.
