Summary:  The Idaho Electrical Board desires to amend provisions of the existing rules governing electrical inspection tags in Idaho through the negotiated rulemaking process. Among other potential issues, the Board seeks to review and address provisions of IDAPA 07.01.01 regarding electrical permits (or inspection tags) and facility accounts (or industrial accounts) and update terminology in IDAPA 07.01.01 to match terminology in recently passed amendments to Title 54, Chapter 10, Idaho Code (Page 30). In regards to electrical inspections, the Board desires to amend provisions of the existing rules governing fees for electrical inspections, and permits.  As well as add a fee and allow for transferring a permit and update terminology in Idaho through the negotiated rulemaking process (Page 31). Addressing the National Electric Code, the Board desires to amend provisions of the code and seeks to address tamper resistant receptacles in garages, disconnect locations, and NMB in buildings or other structures (Page 40). The Board desires to amend provisions of the existing rules governing electrical inspection tag appeals in Idaho through the negotiated rulemaking process (Page 44).  APSP is monitoring this action for direct effect on the pool and spa industry.

Status: Public comments will be accepted until 7/20/2018, and a public hearing will be held 7/25/2018.
