United Kingdon's First Ever CHTT Course Held

(ALEXANDRIA, VA) – The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals is expanding its educational offerings overseas with international partners, and recently conducted two three-day training programs in Mexico and the United Kingdom.

APSP partner, The British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association (BISHTA), held the first Certified Hot Tub Technician (CHTT) course in the United Kingdom on November 27-29. Held at the Pollet Pool Group in Newbury, this historic three day course ushered in a new era in hot tub training for UK based hot tub professionals.

“We’re so pleased to be able to roll out this program, said Chris Brady, APSP CHTT instructor with 1 Stop Spas Ltd. “Through hard work and persistence, we’re raising the professional bar here in the UK and I’m proud to be working the APSP and BISHTA to deliver that.”

APSP’s newest international partner, the Asociación de Profesionales de la Piscina APP A.C., hosted a three day Pool & Spa Construction Course (PSCC) with instructor Rick English from English Pool Consulting as part of their Train-the-Trainer Session in Monterrey, Mexico on November 27-29.

“This new partnership allows us to advance the industry to the next level of excellence”, said Ignacio Barroso, President of The Asociación de Profesionales de La Piscina APP A.C. “We are excited to offer quality industry education in our local market. Through sharing best practices and skills, we can work on advancing our market and the industry as a whole, he said.”

“We are thrilled about expanding our international offerings,” said Maria O’Hara, APSP director of education. “We look forward to offering programs that will provide valuable skills and experiences for these students as well as our domestic students. We want to help prepare students to work in the pool, spa and hot tub industry abroad as well as within the United States.”

Additional international education opportunities will be released in the coming weeks. For more information, email APSP University or call Ana Hernandez at 703.838.0083 ext. 127.
