APSP President Represents the United States 

(ALEXANDRIA, VA) – The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) was one of the 16 countries who met in during the Aquanale conference in Cologne, Germany on November 8-9, 2017 to form a World Alliance of Pool & Spa Associations (WAPSA). APSP President & CEO Rich Gottwald, represented the United States and presented on the state of the industry.

Countries involved in the Alliance include: Australia, Germany, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Austria, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey and the USA. Designed to protect and promote the industry, the WAPSA will specifically focus on industry harmonization and the exchange of knowledge. The Alliance will closely coordinate the efforts of partners to support sharing of knowledge and best practices in the areas of training and development and safety. Countries will benefit from the combined expertise in key areas.
