Failure to recertify before the expiration date could result in starting the whole process (education, testing and payment of fees) from the beginning, as if never certified. In June 2009 the APSP Career Institute Board of Regents acted to push all expiration dates to 12/31. So, if you are currently certified, your expiration date is now 12/31 of the same year your certificate was due to expire.
Re-certification forms will be mailed in April 2011 to CBP and CSP's whose expiration date is in 2011. Those currently holding the Tech I or Tech II registration with a 2011 expiration will be sent a reminder of their expiration date and a link to access the re-certification form online.
