Certified Hot Tub Technician (CHTT) Program
The Certified Hot Tub Technician program is a new, 2.5 day, live seminar that covers the essentials of portable hot tub service, and equipment repair and replacement. Instruction is given by industry experts, and the APSP Hot Tub Technician Manual (see description below) is the textbook for the course. The course does not offer hands-on training - it is a classroom course. The course was piloted in two locations early in 2011 and will be offered again in the Fall 2011/Winter 2012. The $395 course fee for APSP members includes the Hot Tub Technician Manual, companion Workbook, 2.5 days of instruction, exam fees, and 3 years of certification upon passing the exam.
APSP Hot Tub Technician Manual
This 348-page, full-color Hot Tub Technician Manual is not product-specific, but, rather, offers a wide body of practical knowledge on servicing and troubleshooting manufactured hot tubs, regardless of brand. Contents include the following topics:
