Business Leadership

The APSP Business Leadership Program can help you develop and improve your business management skills. The program's five core topics include:

• Business Law
• Finance
• Sales and Marketing
• Human Resources
• General Management

The Business Leadership Program is structured in a flexible format to allow participants to move at their own pace. Participants must complete 80 business education credit hours. Credit hours are available for a large array of designated APSP convention seminars and APSP-approved manufacturers' and distributors' seminars.

In order to survive in our competitive industry, a successful company must use the best business management techniques, including all of the following:

• Accurate accounting procedures

• Productive human resources management

Important Facts to Know

• This program is open only to APSP members.
• The total cost of the Business Leadership Program is only $50. To register for the program, contact Ken Suzuki by email (ksuzuki@APSP.org) or phone (703.838.0083, ext. 145).
• Your official record-keeping packet will be sent to you after you pay an initial fee of $25.
• Participants are required to complete a total of 80 business education credit hours. These 80 hours include at least eight hours in each of the five core topic areas, as well as up to 40 additional business elective credit hours. You will only receive credit for APSP-approved business-related courses.
• After you receive the record-keeping packet, use the packet to store written proof of your participation in APSP-approved business courses. When you have accumulated the required 80 credit hours, send the completed packet along with the written proof (e.g., record of completion for each course) and the remaining $25 fee to: APSP Education Department, 2111 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria, VA 22314.
• After final review and approval of the packet, APSP will send you an official certificate of achievement.
