New Insurance Program Offers Cost Savings, Other Benefits
The new insurance plan covers commercial and residential operations with ISO approved forms of coverage. Industry specific features include service and installation work with diving boards, and “pop up” coverage. There is discounted pricing for members participating in APSP certification programs. Surveys of members indicate that providing insurance is a number one need.
“The new program meets this need, but more importantly, it will recognize members who have achieved our various certifications,” said Guy Larsen, 2005 APSP chairman. “Navigators knows that certified members are more knowledgeable, better trained and more professional. Therefore, the member company is a better candidate for insurance and will receive credits on their premiums, resulting in real value from belonging to APSP and adhering to APSP standards.”
Available coverage includes:
• Comprehensive general liability
• Commercial property
• Business income
• Inland marine
• Ocean marine
• Commercial automobile
• Excess/umbrella liability
The Horton Group will work with Navigators to distribute these insurance products. Horton will be working directly with APSP members to showcase the Navigators program, including comparisons and quotations. APSP chose Navigators because the company possesses an in-depth knowledge of the pool building industry and is an established, financially strong insurance underwriter.
