For Good Ideas, Tap Your Local Business School
Contact your local university’s business school and ask a few professors if they would like to assign a few students to develop a marketing plan, hiring strategy, or any project your company may need help with. It is a great real-world experience for the students, and professors can use it as a semester project. The students will bring an outsider’s slant to the project. “My first meeting with the students produced an exceptional idea that became a mainstay to our marketing plan,” says Pat Walsh, The Above Ground Pool & Spa Company, San Antonio, Texas. “After all, these are your future customers. They will have unique ideas to improve your business.”
